Meeting with NOTP held on the 5th of November, 2023

A meeting with the National Organ & Transplant Programme (NOTP) was held on the 5th of November, 2023 at the office of Principal cum Chief Superintendent, Conference Room, Gauhati Medical College & Hospital which was chaired by Dr. A.C. Baishya, Principal cum Chief Superintendent, GMCH, Dr. Abhijit Sarma, Superintendent cum Nodal Officer, ROTTO Guwahati, GMCH, Dr. K Bhuyan, Professor, Dept. of Surgery, Ex-Officio – Director, ROTTO Guwahati, GMCH, Dr. Pankaj Baruah, Associate Professor, Dept. of Ophthalmology, Ex-Officio – Jt. Director, ROTTO Guwahati along with NOTP members Dr. Krishan Kumar, Program Lead, Dte. GHS, MoHFW, New Delhi, Dr. Manas Pratim Roy, Assistant Director General, Dte. GHS, MoHFW, New Delhi and Dr. Avinash Sunthlia, SMO, Dte. GHS, MoHFW, New Delhi. The main focus of the meeting was to discuss the issues and challenges faced by the institutions in various aspects. Many important issues and challenges came into the light and many prospective resolutions were put forward in the meeting.
